MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies with rains will prevail over most parts of the country on Sunday afternoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

In its 4 p.m. bulletin, the state weather bureau said the northeast monsoon may bring overcast skies with rains over Cagayan Valley and Cordillera.

The same weather system was forecast to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon.

The Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region, on the other hand, were forecast to have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).

The ITCZ may also cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Visayas and Mindanao.
