MANILA, Philippines — Parts of Northern Luzon and Palawan will experience cloudy skies, scattered rain showers and thunderstorms on Friday, Jan. 3, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
ugga bugga slotIn an early morning update, Pagasa explained that the cold northeast monsoon (amihan); the warm winds from the east (easterlies); and the shearline, or the zone in which warm and cold winds meet, are affecting parts of Luzon.

Pagasa did not raise a gale warning but said moderate to rough waters with waves between 2.1 and 4.0 meters high are possible in the waters of Northern Luzon and Ilocos region.
